Perceiving Partnership

This powerful message challenges us to shift our perspective from working for God to working with God as true partners in His divine purpose. Drawing from Nehemiah's journey to rebuild Jerusalem's broken walls, we discover that God doesn't just want our service—He wants our partnership. Nehemiah surveyed the ruins, wept over the brokenness, and then took action. But notice: he didn't rush in. He prayed, he planned, and he understood the condition before attempting to fix anything. How often do we try to repair situations without first understanding what we're dealing with? The message reminds us that there are broken walls all around us—broken relationships, broken communities, broken lives—and God is calling us to be bridge builders, not just burden carriers. When we grasp that we're working with God rather than just for Him, everything changes. We share in the responsibility, yes, but we also share in the rewards, the blessings, and the supernatural strength that comes from His presence. The question isn't whether the work is hard or whether we feel adequate.

The question is: are we willing to partner with the One who has already provided everything we need to complete the task? When we maintain our focus on who we're helping rather than what we're doing, the mundane becomes meaningful, and our labor becomes an act of worship.
