Keep Your Eyes on The Prize

Mar 22, 2026    Min. Littles

This powerful message calls us to maintain unwavering focus on our ultimate spiritual prize: eternal life with Christ Jesus. Drawing from Philippians 3:12-15, we're reminded that the Christian journey requires us to forget what lies behind and press forward toward the high calling of God. Like the Apostle Paul writing from a Roman prison, we too must develop a determination that transcends our circumstances. The message emphasizes that we're living in the last and evil days, making it essential to put on the full armor of God described in Ephesians 6—not just occasionally, but 24/7. We learn that transformation begins in the mind, which is why Romans 12:1-2 urges us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. The warning about Lot's wife in Genesis 19 serves as a sobering reminder that looking back to our old life can be spiritually fatal. We cannot have one foot in the world and one foot in the gospel. This is a call to complete commitment, recognizing that if any person is in Christ, they are a new creation.

The message resonates with urgency: we have work to do, and we cannot walk this journey alone. We need each other, we need prayer, we need to stay in God's word day and night, and above all, we need to keep our spiritual eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
